What We Do
The John J Heath Jr Foundation aims to embody everything he stood for. Caring for those in our community in a variety of ways that John would be proud of. Explore our programs and initiatives below and consider joining us at an upcoming event or supporting one of our fun fundraisers!
Our two main fundraiser events fuel our programs! In the spring we host Johnny's Bull and Beer Bash - a fun event to bring people together and enjoy delicious food. In the fall we host the Swami Classic - a beautiful golf outing with awards.
We sponsor a team of people to plunge into the icy cold waters for the Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser each year to support the Special Olympics.
Each year, we are honored to award the John J. Heath Jr. Foundation Sportsmanship Award to two upcoming local high school graduates. Awarded to a deserving student who shows exemplary sportsmanship on the field or court.
Through another local charity, The Odd Fellows Club, we participate in the Odd Saint Nick program to sponsor a family for Christmas and bring joy to children during the holiday.
Providing comfort to chemo patients is a small step we take to help! Our bags are packed with care and items useful while battling cancer. Read more about launching our Johnny's Chemo Care Kits.
Every school year, we pack backpacks full of school supplies to help local students start the year on the right foot.
